Doug Kaetz studied classical guitar, jazz guitar, jazz vocal, & jazz drum set while also pursing his Music Education degree at Moravian College. Doug taught 5th - 8th Grade General Music for the School District of Philadelphia from 2016 - 2018 at Roosevelt Middle School. While at Roosevelt, Doug built the music program from scratch by obtaining/donating various instruments for his classroom such as a classroom set of guitars, a drum set, and keyboards. Doug also had the pleasure of having three very talented 5th grade vocal students be a part of All City Choir with a performance at Temple University in 2017. Doug now performs frequently throughout Eastern Pennsylvania and parts of New Jersey. When not performing solo, he performs with “Outside The WALL”, a Pink Floyd Tribute Band, “From The Dark River”, Doug’s original/cover band, and “South Of The Peak”, original/cover band. Doug’s musical influences come from many genres as well as many different time periods. His favorite bands include Avenged Sevenfold, Alter Bridge, The Beatles, Chris Cornell, The Dirty Heads, Dispatch, The Doobie Brothers, Incubus, Jack Johnson, Jamie Cullum, Korn, Pink Floyd, Sevendust, Slipknot, Stone Sour, Supertramp & Zac Brown Band. When not teaching music, Doug is a 12 year veteran ski/snowboard instructor at Camelback Mountain.
